Our story
COOPEC IKIRENGA is a financial institution that accepts deposits and provides loans to its members. It was licensed by the Rwanda Cooperative Agency (RCA No. RGD012560) and by the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) on 20/08/2024.
It was created as a result of the merger of five financial institutions that had previously operated in the Rulindo region — COOPEC CSTCR, TRASO, CODEMARU, CSPKI and ITI. The five SACCOs decided in 2023 to form one single entity named “COOPEC IKIRENGA”, while each of them remained as a branch.
COOPEC IKIRENGA is a Financial Service Cooperative operating in the Northern Province of Rwanda under the supervision of the National Bank of Rwanda. Our headquarters are located in Base Village, Rwamahwa Cell, Base Sector, Rulindo District.
